disneyland!!!
yesterday was my dear's birthday, so we took a trip to disneyland (he and the kids were free, woohoo!) the weather was perfect, mid 70's, ya couldnt ask for a better day, and apparently everyone else thought so too - it was packed!
we started the day late, but we weren't in a rush and got there around 2:30pm. all the rides were so crowded so we decided to let jenalyn run around in toontown, before we did any rides. she was having a blast just running through the streets, not really into the play buildings and cars of toontown, just running freely was her joy! and of course my dear husband spent the majority if the time chasing her around!
we went on a total of 3 rides (yup, thats it) we really didnt think jenalyn has the patience yet to stand in really long lines (which most were) so we just did the jungle cruise, the carousel and small world. I think both of them were just in awe at everything on the rides, so much to look at, it was probably a lot to take in.
it was hard to take pics too since one is holding eli and the other is chasing jenalyn, for the most part we did anticipate the day to be just that - but I must say I was a little bummed that we didnt get to see mickey or minnie or any of the princesses, and that was my main goal (but we did see goofy and pluto, no pics though)
oh well...maybe next time...
the birthday boy and his daughter

eli wasnt happy til he was out of the stroller

playing around toontown's ship

"it's a small world" clock

our only family picture of the day

jenalyn wasnt too sure what was going on once we were in the boat.

eli mesmerized at all the things to see.

took this picture for my sis...

jenalyn not a fan of the carousel, mommy not a fan of watching it.

she's a dancin' and a runnin'
this weekend we we're quite busy (but good busy)we attended our cousin's engagement party saturday evening and to my surprise jenalyn was rockin' and rollin' on the dance floor. she was very shy when we first got there and didnt even want to move from the doorway. but we made our way in and after eating we headed out to the dance area (b/c I saw some line dancing going on and you know me, Im all over it!) jenalyn and I were dancing together but after a while everyone else took a break but jenalyn was there in the middle dancing to the beat moving her legs, clapping her hands! people got up again and she really watched there feet and tried doing what they were doing - it was very cute.

on sunday, we totally forgot it was daylight savings time - we missed our usual 11am Mass and had to find a later one, luckily we found a 12 noon, not too far. then the rest of the day we spent looking at the koi fish at my dear's favorite koi store and hanging out at the park. we did stop over at the mall for some apple pie and chili fries at johnny rockets, but by the time we were done the breeze was gettign cold so we headed home.

we tried out yet another local park and this one had a nice huge hill that jenalyn absolutely loved running down. for the most part she just loved running. she did go on the slide and swings but that hill was the most entertaining by far. eli hung out on the grass area enjoying the sun. he was on a mat but very curious of the grass. he wouldnt touch it but was perplexed by it (something inside him must be saying, "stay away from the grass, it'll give you allergies" - if anything thats what my mind tells me!) but he was happy as a clam just loungin'

wanna pray?

getting better everyday
we're finally getting better (all of us) - last sunday, we just HAD to get out of the house, we've been stuck indoors for too long and since the weather was perfect (a nice 80 degrees) we went to take a walk around our favorite mall.
we first had to eat lunch, so off to the foodcourt we went, I got a lemon chicken pasta and my dear husband, a slice of pizza. we figured jenalyn would just pick off our food...
well I must say, she got her appetite back - and in full force. she ate a good portion of my pasta, half the pizza and auntie jamie stopped by and shared her burger with jenalyn...she ate everything (perhaps making up for not eating the past few days!)
she really attacked that burger!!!!

look at me! Im 11 months old!!!

since it was nice and warm, they turned on the water fountain for the kids to play in. we let jenalyn loose, even taking off her shoes - we did have a change of clothes for her so we went ahead and let her get wet. she needed it, she was having so much fun, just being out. too bad the weather didnt stay nice like that, by monday it was a little drizzley but Im glad we got the oppurtunity to taste a bit of summer during the month of march.

so we have one more day of antibiotics for jenalyn (pray it goes as well as the last nine days) we've been hiding it in ice cream, some of which she'll take and some of which I have to pretend its mine for her to want some. oh and eli's antibiotics, I forgot to mention, he had an allergic reaction to it but he's all better. just something to note - no zythromax for eli - but like I said, we are all getting better, our noses are almost clear and the coughing has subsided. so til the next illness...(hopefully not anytime soon!)
