we took a pilgrimage to wisconsin to the chapel of Our Lady of Good Help.
we have faith and we know in our hearts that through the intercession of Mama Mary, little miracles are happening and we couldnt be more grateful.

end of summer pics

ok, so we're pretty much done with september - but with the weather still in the 90's, summer lasts a long time here! this is what we've been doing trying to beat the heat:
the beach, summer rain (so rare!), park days and of course a car show for eli!

summer fun so far...

playdates, dress-up, bouncy fun and a rice bin have been keeping the little ones busy during this hot summer month (we've been swimming too, but I dont trust my camera near water...)

congrats uncle!

our trip to kentucky was to celebrate the ordination of uncle jewel. last year when uncle joe was ordained, jenalyn, joshua luke and I stayed home, while eli and daddy headed over. this year we made sure it was a whole family trip, no matter how hectic it would be...
surprisingly, it went very well - it was actually a really nice relaxing vacation - no whining, crying, meltdowns and no potty accidents from either of the older two! hooray!
we're so blessed to have Fr. Jewel as our uncle and he was super fun to hang out with. the kids loved all his tricks, esp. spinning the pillow and juggling. and uncle joe, thanks for teaching us how to play angry birds (yay, my kiddies are trendy now...)

the happiest boy EVER!

anyone who knows eli - KNOWS that this little 3 year old had a thing for cars - a major thing for cars. before the age of 2 he could tell you the make and model of all his toy cars and most every car you see on the street and parking lots. oh how he loves cars! especially his corvettes and mustangs!
so this past spring while taking a family trip to kentucky, we just HAD to go to the National Corvette Museum. he was in LOVE! I dont think Ive ever seen a smile so big and so wide... the pics speak for themselves: a little boy's dreams come true!

Family Fun Night!

jenalyn's school hosted a Family Fun Night - and the kiddies loved id, as did I. it was nice to hang out as a family, playing new games and such. I hope this is a preview of what our summer will be!

egg hunt at preschool

I took eli to jenalyn's preschool egg hunt. both had a fun time finding the eggs. I think this year they actually understood what they had to do - and they were both so proud to find the "basketball" egg - "just like daddy..."

oh my, its been how long???

wow - long time, no blogging huh? but of course lots of recapping. lets see, eli turned 3 and jenalyn turned 4. we went through Lent (and what a rough Lent it was this year) but as always, after Lent, a glorious Easter. and what better way to start off the Easter season - we moved into our first house!!!

so there it is, why I havent been around much - being a homeowner is a lot of work. for me, its my very first house. renting forever and moving 10 times in 11 years, its a big change.
