bubbles in the home

I had planned to go out to the putting green and bring the bubble machine with us so the kiddies could chase bubbles, but since jenalyn is a little bit inder the weather and it was getting a bit chilly, I decided to bubble up the apt. ok so my bubble solution wasnt the greatest, but it did the job. poor thing, she kept her hands out waiting for a shower of bubbles but all she got were a few teeny ones every once in a while. I guess I gotta go to target and get the good stuff - apparently hand soap doesnt cut it.

how we spent our v-day

I know this was last week, but I thought Id share our heart day outing. since it had been raining all week, the sun finally broke through on saturday, so off to the park we went.
first we had to eat lunch - so a quick stop over to in-n-out. can you believe jenalyn can eat a whole burger if we let her (yes, we tried it once) but who can blame her, they are THE best!

patiently waiting for their food! and yes, we have them BOTH in highchairs, if not jenalyn would be running a muck around the place. but I must say, these tables are not designed for two highchairs, they butt up right next to the other table, so the people next to us had to scooch their food over since eli kept tilting his head back trying to see them. (the people didnt mind, they played with eli and were just happy to find a seat in there, as you know, you can never get a seat there!)

now out to the park! she loved the swing.
wheeeee....

waiting his turn...

eli's turn

swinging together!

this is jenalyn's first touch of playground sand. most playgrounds around here have that foamy stuff for the ground, but this park had a little bit of sand. she was so amazed by it. I let her go barefoot and I think she got a kick out of the feel of it on her toes. after a while she realized she could pick it up and squish it in her hands...but then she started throwing it so it was time to go!

I cant really remember what else we did. but either way, I love our weekends. cant wait til this one starts, but unfortunately jenalyn is sick so it looks like we might be staying home. pray that she gets well because elmo is having a birthday party at borders on saturday and I want to take her. (speaking of b-days, she's 2 months shy of the big TWO! as of last tue.)

last weekend

just some pics we took last weekend at a friend's baby shower. jenalyn was interested only in going outside to splash in the puddles. eli and I hung out indoors where it was nice and warm. oh and did you notice jenalyn's new do? Im really liking it - not too bowl looking as before...but boy did she put up a good fight for that cut! sorry no pics b/c we both had to hold her down while the lady did her magic, and where was eli you ask? watching in horror from his stroller.

thank you Valentine Buddy!

jenalyn and eli received their valentine Buddy gift this week from our mommy group. as you can see jenalyn loved the doggies and eli knew exactly which one was his!

jenalyn and mommy time

this must have been one of the first weekends in a long time where we didnt have to do anything, and since the weather was so nice we took advantage and played at the "park" all day and of course a nice walk around the outdoor mall in the evening. eli and daddy actually went into church for saturday confessions, so jenalyn and I got to spend some mommy-daughter time together, playing on the school playground. it was so nice since jenalyn and I dont get to spend anytime together just the two of us. by far, her favorite thing to do was to go down the slide. she had so much fun. now if I could only get her to enjoy shopping with me...

p.s. eli just turned 10 months yesterday... happy two digits!!!
