Camping Day

last month jenalyn's preschool did a unit on "camping". Im sooo not the camping type, but for learning purposes I tried to incorporate that into things at home. we watched the berenstain bears camping dvds, "roasted" marshmallows and went fake fishing. when "camping day" at school came, jenalyn had a blast! I think she liked fishing the best, so maybe, just maybe, I'll go real fishing with her one day...maybe!

jenalyn's 1st day of preschool!

I cant believe it - she's going to preschool. actually its been a week now since her first day and shes doing great!
the first day she was a little unsure but didnt cry at drop off (me, well thats another story...) when I went to pick her up, she started to cry and the teacher said she cried a little in the beginning and not agin til right then.
the first few days were a little uneasy for her but yesterday was her "greatest day" (thats what her teacher said!) and today was yet, another great day - not a single hit of saddness...
so here they are - her 1st day of school pics...I cant believe my baby is growing up!!

summer fun!

joshua luke - 4 months!

ok ok, so I missed the 3 month pictures, but here he is in all hs 4 months glory...

weight - 17lbs .03oz (80%ile)
height - 25.5in. (75%ile)

he's got his two bottom teeth poking through and we think his top ones aren't too far behind. he can roll to one side and love love loves watching his siblings play. and just adores eli (and jenalyn too, but I think with eli its a "guy thing").

104 degrees = kiddie pool

last week was a scorcher! HOT! so we headed to lola's house and set up a kiddie pool in the front yard. it was very refreshing for the kiddies and for us adults - me, auntie jamie and auntie jc (ok so we opened the front doors with the a/c going while we sat on the porch eating fresh fruit!) joshua luke was inside sleeping in his swing enjoying the a/c.

after attending a beautiful wedding at the Cathedral we went outside to the animal playground and hung out with uncle. thanks for playing with us uncle!
