I'll start with last friday at jenalyn's preschool. My little bo peep looked adorable and was all ready for the Halloween parade. she was fine for the first few parade circles - but after that, she was done and cried and cried til daddy was able to calm her down. she did fine trick-or-treating to the other classrooms and was ready to play on the playground.
once we got home it was time to paint our little pumpkins... at one point mr. pumpkin head had another arm, ear, mouth and even a little pumpkin bucket - but who knows where that is now?...
a few weeks back we all headed to my dear and I's alma mater for their pumpkin patch festivities... it was probably the closest thing to a real pumpkin patch out here so we decided to give it a whirl... it was a great day to go, a bit overcast and cool air. jenalyn was so excited to see all the pumpkins and has been asking to go to the local city "patch" (aka - an empty lot, throw down some hay and neatly stack pumpkins everywhere) but we figured this would be better - ok so all it was was a HUGE field/hill with pumpkins covering the ground, it actually looked pretty cool. eli was a little tired and just wanted to sit and watch from the stroller, but after a while he figured he'll join his sis in "pumpkin rolling". it was a fun little outing although we didnt pick any pumpkins, perhaps tomorrow over at the city "patch".
grandma came to visit a couple months ago from texas (sorry these pics are late). it was a very short visit, but the kids had fun. see how they made her crawl into their little playhouse...and for the group shot, eli wasnt having it! when grandpa came to visit last week, he was able to stay a bit longer. we did a lot of eating out and playing at the park. they had a blast! too bad they couldnt come together - but no worries b/c we'll be visiting them at there house next month, eating turkey, playing with auntie and uncles, and baby liliana (oh and shopping too - right mom?)
sorry about the placement of pictures, I dont feel like fixing it...
because you all know how deathly afraid I am to drive the minivan... (oh and dont worry, these pics were for the sake of taking pics, hence the reason they're not buckled correctly)
last month jenalyn's preschool did a unit on "camping". Im sooo not the camping type, but for learning purposes I tried to incorporate that into things at home. we watched the berenstain bears camping dvds, "roasted" marshmallows and went fake fishing. when "camping day" at school came, jenalyn had a blast! I think she liked fishing the best, so maybe, just maybe, I'll go real fishing with her one day...maybe!
