"are we there yet?"

"no we're not there yet!" - where is there, you ask???

there: at the hospital ready to have a baby!

ok so time is a tickin' and its not ticking fast enough for me! this little boy wants out and mama wants him out too. he is just way too active to stay in there much longer and I just want to be able to move regularly again - no waddling, no rolling over out of bed, no bracing myself to get up, no gopher II grab tool - oh wait, I take that back, I still LOVE that thing (although I have a brand new one since some little 22 month old has broken in twice and super gluing isnt working anymore) ugh - hows that for a list of complaints... I could go on, but I guess I should save my energy for something better (like walking 5 feet!)

as much as I want baby boy to arrive, I guess I shouldnt be so eager. there's still so much on my "to do" list before he gets here. so I better get on the ball and at least pack a hospital bag, right? install his car seat, get his crib ready, get new bottle parts...oh my...I better go, apparently Im not ready!!!!

my sleepy kids

nothing new and exciting just sleeping kids...

eli was so cranky and tired last weekend, he fell asleep on the kitchen floor (umm, sooo not clean!)


and jenalyn usually loves to pile her stuffed animals on herself before she sleeps, but today she decided to wrap herself.

a shower and a sprinkle

thank you to my mom and my 2 aunties for throwing me and my sis a dual baby shower and sprinkle for our little buns.

we had lots of fun, esp. since I dont get to see my sis too often and how cool is that, that we are both preggers at the same time! btw. her sweet baby girl is due at the end of april, so we're really only a month apart from eachother...but man look how much bigger I am than her!!! (ok so this is my 3rd baby and her 1st - but still!)

and yes, we are so silly when were together, can you tell? oh and we were suppose to wear the same outfit too, but she forgot to pack it in her luggage (yeah, we're sisters, we're old, but we can still dress alike - hee hee)

its been a while, but nothing new...

hmmm, january is almost over and I havent had a moment to post. lets catch up shall we:

for me: Im huge, huge I say. Im uncomfortable, Im tired. the apt. is always a mess. and did I mention Im huge! ok pity party over. but really, Im ok. I did find out Im slightly anemic which would explain why Ive felt so tired and super cold (and Im not a cold person). I did get a nifty device to help with cleaning, its the GopherII. ya know those things that help you pick up things off the ground or in high places - I love it! its a must have for all pregnant women! (I promise to take pics of me using it in action one day!- Ive even sorted clothes with it!)
lets see what else, my dear and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary a few weeks back. and each year we renew our vows but this year we had our friends from vegas visit us and were able to take a pic.


the kiddies: nothing too terribly new. still just sorting through and playing with the mountain of new toys they got for Christmas. a few random pics:





oh but heres a biggie - we took them to a movie for the first time and they did great! we thought jenalyn wouldnt like all the noise and dark. and we werent sure how eli would react. well it was perfect. we watched alvin and the chipmunks the squeakquel, and they both loved the first one we have at home so we figured we'd give it a shot.
jenalyn sat mesmerized in daddy's lap for a good 15 min. staring wode-eyed at the screen, but settled in quickly, still on daddy's lap, maxin' and relaxin' enjoying the flick.
eli was our very own siskle aand ropert. (ok Im sure I didnt spell that right) but anyway, he was making comments the entire time:"oh my goodness!" "oh no alvin throw it, tv broken, daddy fix it!" "alvin!" had to tell him to shhhh...I tell ya, he's our little ham!
and we didnt even need the mound of snacks I had prepared for any meltdowns, we stayed right through the credits...now Im not sure we'll do it anytime soon unless Little Einsteins comes out with a on-screen movie. but that was fun!

p.s. eli was so confused as to what was going on - all he kept saying was, "what's happening???" you can tell by the look on his face...poor guy. and jenalyn, well she thought she was the one to take the picture.

Christmas morning

we attended the Vigil Mass, so we were able to sleep in and wake up to Christmas morning...


the kiddies were excited to see all the "wish boxes" (thats what they call presents) but didnt quite know what to do with them. I unwrapped most of them and they each waited patiently for us to take it out of the package. beacause we were busy unwrapping, we couldnt get too many pics, but boy did they have fun with ALL their new toys!

Advent activity recap...

ok so it didnt go as planned. we missed a few days here and there, but oh well I made a good effort (well at least most days I did)

we never did see santa claus...
nor write him a letter...
or make a gingerbread house...
or do very many crafts...
and bummer I never had them try a candy cane (well actually I did after the fact, but no pics)...
and the other things on the list were mainly done by be with no pics to show for...

ugh - we'll try again next year.
